COMIC BOOK & MAD MAGAZINE AUCTION: FEBRUARY 19-28 Online Bidding opens Sunday, February 19 @ 12 pm (Noon) Online Bidding begins to close Sunday, February 28 @ 7:00 pm ________________________________________ AUCTION HIGHLIGHTS: Featuring more than 150 lots of ungraded Silver, Bronze, and Modern Age comics, as well as vintage Mad Magazines from the third year of its publication-including the first issue with a fold-in back cover, #86 from April, 1964! Yes, we've got Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Wonder Woman, Hulk, Silver Surfer, Green Lantern and the Fantastic Four, but we've also got Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica, Richie Rich, Cadbury, Bugs Bunny, and Porky Pig! SILVER & BRONZE AGE: Comics from the 1960s to the 1980s including Adventure Comics Presents The Spectre from August 1975, Batman #259 & 261 from 1974-75, Detective Comics #441 & 445 from the same years, House of Mystery and Justice League from 1974, DC's Metamorpho from 1975, Tomb of Dracula #43 from 1976 with a gripping Wrightson cover, Our Army At War, Featuring Sgt. Rock from 1973-75, Superman #158 from 1963, Superboy #205 from 1974, and several Richie Rich and Archie comics and digests. These are ungraded comics, sold as found, with some understandable wear to covers and spines. BRONZE & MODERN AGE: Comics from the 1980s to the present including many from Marvel, Image, DC, Wildstorm, Vertigo & others. Many issues of X-Men, X-Men Legacy, X-Factor, Uncanny X-Men, New Mutants, Ultimate Fantastic Four, Kabuki, Shaman's Tears, Savage Dragon, Hellshock, Cyberforce; Helfer and Baker's The Shadow, Vext, Superman, and Spirit; issues of Captain Atom: Armageddon, Coup D'Etat, Ex Machina, and Global Frequency; several numbers of the Scalped series. MAD MAGAZINE: Magazines run from 1958 to 1976 and parody everything from politics to popular music. Cover figures range from Batman and Superman to Fidel Castro and Snoopy. Sergio Aragones became a regular artist in #76 (1963), and sci-fi artist Frank Frazetta's unmistakable work adorns the back cover of #106. The 1973 Mad Super Special contains the Nostalgic Mad Color Comic. This auction also has a matted portrait of Alfred E. Neuman captioned with his immortal slogan "What - Me Worry?" The comic books in this auction come from two collections, one containing a great many Silver Age comics stored without sleeves or backboards, and the other containing the leftover inventory of a comic book store, most issues sleeved and boarded.

Cash, check, and most major credit cards accepted. Payment must be made in U.S. dollars. International buyers must pay by wire transfer. Winning bidders will be emailed invoices after the close of bidding and must make appointments to pick up their items and pay according to the schedule specified in this auction. Arrangements must be made to pay for and pick up winning lots within 7 business days of the close of the auction.
